Why “Borrowed Fire”

The nonprofit sector runs on urgency, meaning, and constant demand, exactly what an ADHD brain is wired to respond to. It lights you up, and it works for a long time. But running on borrowed fire eventually comes due. Borrowed Fire is where I name that out loud (the pattern most of us were never given the language for) and write toward something more sustainable.
